L'Authority Olandese per la Protezione dei Dati (CBP) ha inviato una lettera a 41 comuni olandesi chiedendo di fornire ulteriori informazioni sul trattamento dei dati personali relativamente a tutti i settori che hanno a che fare con il versante sociale delle politiche comunali (istruzione, sanità, integrazione, ecc.). Tra le altre cose, il CBP esamina il livello di trasparenza dei comuni verso i cittadini rispetto al trattamento dei loro dati e prova a verificare come i comuni gestiscono le richieste di autorizzazione a trattarli.
