I minori non accompagnati che vivono in Italia sono 25,000 e il Parlamento ha deciso finalmente di intervenire per proteggere questi bambini vulnerabili. Sarà effettuata una verifica dell'età dei bambini per offrire una migliore assistenza nelle strutture apposite. Un'attenzione particolare sarà rivolta al ricongiungimento tra i bambini e i loro familiari in Europa. Inoltre, sono in programma interventi per favorire l'accesso all'istruzione e al servizio sanitario e nuove strategie per sostenere i bambini vittime di abusi, perpetrati nei loro paesi di origine ma anche in Italia.
