Dalla visita congiunta da parte dell'Istituto Olandese per i Diritti Umani e dell'ombudsman nazionale che si è tenuta il 14 gennaio presso il centro di emergenza per richiedenti asilo di Heumensoord, vicino a Nijmegen, è emerso che le sistemazioni di massa in padiglioni mettono a rischio la sicurezza e la salute dei richiedenti asilo. In futuro, quindi, i richiedenti asilo non dovranno più essere accolti in numeri così grandi. Per migliorare la vivibilità e sicurezza entro il 1 giugno 2016, l'Istituto e l'ombudsman nazionale hanno fornito alcune raccomandazioni urgenti.
