Il sistema dell'educazione pubblica ungherese è cambiato radicalmente a seguito dell'approvazione nel 2011 della Legge sull'Educazione Nazionale Pubblica e di altre normative correlate. Prendendo in considerazione le violazioni dei diritti dei bambini e il ridimensionamento degli insegnanti e degli istituti, l'Hungarian Civil Liberties Union ha deciso di estendere la sua attività di difesa legale anche a questo settore. Nell'ambito del programma sulla Libertà dell'Educazione, l'ONG fornisce sostegno e rappresentanza legale in forma gratuita.
