In seguito alle polemiche che hanno portato alle dimissioni di Francesco Spano da direttore dell'Ufficio Nazionale Antidiscriminazioni Razziali (UNAR), il presidente della Coalizione Italiana Libertà e Diritti civili, Patrizio Gonnella, ha scritto alla sottosegretaria di stato Maria Elena Boschi per sottolineare la necessità di trovare presto un nuovo direttore dell'UNAR che sia indipendente e in grado di dare all'ufficio quel ruolo di grande rilievo che dovrebbe avere, soprattutto in un'epoca in cui populismo e xenofobia sono in crescita.
