"Behemoth" e "A Syrian Love Story" sono i due vincitori pari-merito della principale competizione del Festival WATCH DOCS. La giuria ha premiato McAllister e Zhao Liang, affermando che entrambi i registi hanno coraggiosamente affrontato questioni attuali in maniera unica e sorprendente. Il premio del pubblico è stato attribuito al documentario polacco "Call me Marianna," diretto da Karolina Bielawska. Altri film particolarmente apprezzati sono stati "Something Better to Come," "Cartel Land," "The Man Who Mends Women," e "How to Change the World."
