Tak jak dochodzenie parlamentarne przeprowadzone na Litwie w 2009 roku, sugeruje on, że w państwie tym działało miejsce zatrzymań “Violet”. “Jak wynika z raportu przetrzymywany mógł tam być al-Hawsawi, następnie przeniesiony z powodu poważnych problemów zdrowotnych - nie otrzymał pomocy medycznej”, powiedział Mėta Adutavičiūtė z Instytutu Monitorowania Praw Człowieka (HRMI). We wrześniu 2013 r. HRMI i organizacja REDRESS zażądali wszczęcia postępowania w sprawie przetrzymywania al-Hawsawiego.
